Aside from all of the actual real world terrifying reasons that tik tok being banned is horrible, I'm also just really sad to not be able to use it because tiktoks, in my opinion, have always been such a good way to showcase cosplays. And logically I know that I could just lip sync to a clip of a a song and post it wherever I want, but it was formatted for tiktok. It had such a lively cosplay community. Before, most online cosplay content was photography, which of course will always have its place and is beautiful. But when I was active on tiktok, it was the most fun I've had cosplaying in a long time, and it really allowed for people to try stuff out without committing to wearing it out in public. You could just throw on a closet cosplay or do a makeup only cosplay and sit all cozy in your room and make silly videos, or you could dress from head to toe in the most screen accurate or over accessorized masterpiece and lip synce to some fitting dialogue. I know it kinda pushed cosplay into the mainstream, which caused lots of weird discourse and unnecessary drama, but it also was just fun? Like, I don't know - posting stuff like that on Instagram or YouTube shorts just won't work the same. Especially because duets were such a big part of the cosplay culture on tiktok, and I adore how collaborative it all was! Idk I'm just gonna miss it, especially knowing that the app will continue to exist, just without such a large portion of its users able to be in it.

They've seen these two trading glances and awkward laughs for probably days, if not weeks, at that point: they know those two are dating before those two know it themselves XD They'll be alright with it for sure: I think they'll be happy Silver's fallen in love <3 And Espio in turn has long proven his worth to them, so I think they'd only be accepting of it!🍀

Regarding Tumblr: it's definitely not the first "now Tumblr is absolutely going to die" mention I've seen in the past six, seven years that I've been on this website. But I don't have any other social media: I have an Ao3 account that's active, but my DeviantArt and Wattpad accounts are both just basically completely down the drain because I never do anything with either. So I realised that, should Tumblr go down, I have no ways of finding the friends that I made here. Sure, I have Ao3 comments from a handful of friends, but that'd be clunky and inconvenient for sure. Now, I don't think Tumblr's gonna die in a single lightning strike, so to say; I figure it'll be a slow death of the site becoming more and more unusable and unmoderated over time, like what happened to other such social media as well. But if it is a single lightning strike, I'd like to be prepared and have a backup with my username here that people can find. So it's more a "just in case" kinda measure, really. These things don't last for eternity, but I've found too many kind people here to just let it all go. So that's why ^-^

Apparently Fanfiction.net automatically opts you in to not receiving ANY notifications from them after a three month period, so if you haven't seen anything from them in ages, that is why. You need to opt in to receiving alerts from them every three months.
